Darkness is all around

Can’t even move

And yet there’s a spark, deep within

The spark ignites a fire

It’s a raging fire and it refuses to give up

But the spark

Barely visible

And yet visible

The spark remains

Giving light to the eyes

And with the light there comes vision

And the vision comprehends that the darkness is a veil

Alone

And more still

Previously alone

All of them

But no more

Their eyes seem vacant

Empty

Void of life

Darkness

But look deep

Very deep within
