According to The Canadian Mental Health Association,[footnote]https://cmha.ca/mental-health/understanding-mental-illness.[/footnote]Mental illnesses can take many forms, just as physical illnesses do. Mental illnesses are still feared and misunderstood by many people, but the fear will disappear as people learn more about them. If you, or someone you know, has a mental illness, there is good news: all mental illnesses can be treated.

Although all links provided are not meant to be an exhaustive list, it is my hope that each link provided will be a starting place to find the help and hope that is needed. Thank you,

to write love on her arms (twloha)

For me to include “To Write Love On Her Arms” was a no-brainer. When I first began my mental health journey after I was diagnosed with PTSD and major depressive disorder, there was one thing I desperately needed and that was hope. So, I went and asked Google- “where can I find hope.” The answer can back with the top find being TWLOHA. TWLOHA now years later, continues to be a source of hope and inspiration for me and I trust it will be for you as well.

To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery.
