According to DrubRehab.com [footnote]https://www.drugrehab.com/addiction/.[/footnote]; Addiction is a chronic brain disease that induces compulsive activity, despite health, social and legal consequences. A person may seem to make a voluntary choice to try a drug or begin a type of behavior, but a variety of genetic and environmental factors influence those decisions. Those factors increase or decrease the likelihood of an individual becoming addicted to that substance or behavior.” Also, it would be prudent to note that addictions are not only limited to illicit drugs or alcohol. Addictions can be found in the most common of days from such sources as prescription drugs, food, technology, cigarettes, sexual obsessions, shopping and the list goes on. addiction has no inclinations towards any type of persons. Instead, addiction is an equal opportunity abuser, having no regard for race, gender or social economic position, it will abuse all, but there is still hope. You see, none of us were ever meant to go it alone, I need other people, we all need other people. ( See my post regarding this here ) With the help of friends, family, and God, anything is possible.

Although all links provided, are not meant to be an exhaustive list, it is my hope that each link provided will be a starting place to find the help and hope that is needed. Thank you,
